We were invited to hold a fundraising and awareness day in Pet Kingdom in Harrods, a member of staff who owns an American bulldog had seen the AB rescue site and saw the appeal we are having for 2 of the dogs so very kindly put us forward for this.
So yesterday five 2 legged and two 4 legged members of the team made their way to London to spend the day talking to the customers of Pet Kingdom. The dogs Stella and Annie had a thoroughly good day and did a lot to show the public that these breeds are misrepresented in the press. Annie even became the first dog to make a deposit on their new carpet!!
There was a lot of interest in the boards with pictures and stories of the dogs and many people went away with details of the web sites.
£161.82 was taken in donations plus one kind lady bought and donated a bull terrier picture which will be auctioned. All in
all it was a fantastic day and a great opportunity to show what bull breeds are really like.A big thank you to the volunteers for giving up their day to do this and to the staff of Pets Kingdom for making them so welcome.
